Hey guys so I Have a Ryzen 3 1200, GTX 1050ti, 860 EVO SSD, 2x8 3000mhz Corsair vengeance LPX ram and a A320 motherboard from gigabyte.

So I was playing around and decided to use MSI afterburner to monitor temps and FPS. I noticed that my cpu (Ryzen 3 1200) was running below its factory clock at around 2.8ghz. (Factory Clock is 3100). I went to task manager and it says that I have 3.10ghz but is only running at 2.75-2.8. I went into the bios and checked the frequency and it was at the normal 3.10. I have no clue what to do, I searched all over the internet and asked some friends and they don’t even have a clue. Any help? Thanks

it might be that you might have decrese the power delivery to the CPU. The CPU downclocks while being idle to a low speed but looking at the gaming performance you might have tuned the settings in the MSI afterburner.

3100 MHz is a peak boost clock for a single core load, while most WIndows gaming loads today use all 4 cores at a lower speed...such as you are now seeing..
No that is the base clock the peak boost clock for this CPU is 3.4GHz. Yes that is for a single core but the base clock of all the core at base must be 3.1GHz or similar add or subtract 100MHz
