Ryzen 3 is far better than anything on FM2+. I would not spend any money on FM2+. You will need a new AM4 motherboard and DDR4 RAM however so you have to consider that if you want Ryzen. I would get:

- Ryzen 3 1200
- 8GB RAM (2x4GB) and at least 3000MHz. Do not cheap out on the RAM you WILL regret it with the 2200G/2400G.
- Cheap AM4 motherboard
- Bring over the old GPU
- New PSU if yours is old or lower quality.

You already have a GPU so I wouldn't bother getting an APU processor at all. The integrated GPU in the Ryzen 2200G is 80% slower than an RX 460. The 2400G costs more with more GPU/CPU performance.
For gaming these days you want at least 8gb. Though I suppose you could start with 4gb. Alternatively, you could drop the RX 460, get a ryzen 2400g instead which would be quad core but have hyperthreading, so you would get a better CPU, and then use the savings to go to 8gb of ram in say 3000-3200 speeds.

You would probably not get quite as good graphics performance as the RX 460. I think the onboard graphics on that chip is around the range of the GTX 1030 or RX 550. But you could use that until you upgraded to a better graphics card later.
