Ryzen 3 1200 or pentium g4560 for GTX 960

Hi I sold my old cpu the fx 6100. and I am planning to buy a new cpu. I have the gtx 960 4gb Amp edition. so which processor should I buy? I know that the ryzen 3 1200 is faster than the pentium g4560. but is there will be any difference when I will pair this CPU's with my gtx 960?

Better with the ryzen 1200 for 2 simple reasons.

1. Its a true quad core
2. Its more futureproof & its on a current & easily upgradeable platform.

The pentium was a wonderful budget gaming cpu right up until ryzen 3 released , now though it just doesn't make sense to buy one.

Ryzen will cost what ?? $20 or so more ??

Gaming wise I'd get the 1200 with a B350 motherboard so you can overclock it. As far as what the difference will be will depend on the game if it can utilize the two extra cores of the 1200 but since it would be overclocked I'd think it would outperform the G4560 (a few more FPS perhaps?)

Some games will perform better with the 1200, some will perform better with the G4560. If the 1200 is in within your budget, then I would go that route. Long term it is a better option and the motherboard will support several generations of AMD CPUs.
