Ryzen 3 1200 vs i3 8100

I am going for a whole system all together for budget gaming. I have decided to go with gtx 1050 ti and now confused between ryzen 3 1200 (overclocking) and I 3 8100. The difference between the two in my country is 37 usd. Also, open to suggestion for other alternatives.

The i3 8100 is the stronger CPU for Gaming, and overall the faster CPU but not by a huge amount. Whether it's worth the price gap or not is up to you (assuming from the post that the i3 is $37 more). Hope this helps!

How about a Ryzen 3 2200G, even you don't use the integrated iGPU, which kicks the Intel iGPU butt all day, a little cheaper, new technology and of course, evenon a cheap motherboard you can get a nice little overclock.
