Ryzen 3 1200 vs my intel core i5 3450?

So ive been thinking of upgrading to Ryzen 3, but im not sure if its an upgrade.
Their specs seems to be very similar

More of a side grade but getting onto a newer current chipset & system

At stock the 1200 is maybe 10% better at best , overclocked maybe 20% max.

Not sure if its a worthy upgrade really.
Which is tantamount to what good chips the ivy i5s were.

For a real upgrade you need to be looking at the ryzen 5 range.

I'd have to agree that is a pretty parallel move. Unless you get more core and/or threads it isn't really worth it.
