Hi, i have a ryzen 3 1200 cpu, paired with 8gb ram, and i planned to buy a rx 580 with 8gb vram. I tested these two on a bottleneck calculator site and it says that there will be a 21% bottleneck.
What's your opinion about this duo?

Solution
i have an RPC psu with 450W, and now i have a rx 550 2gb

I honestly never heard of the brand, but I have my doubts is a real 450watts unit. I could be wrong.

The RX 580 needs atleast 180~185watts. AMD recommends a 500watts PSU (https://www.amd.com/es/products/graphics/radeon-rx-580).

Does your PSU comes with 1x 8 pin PCIe power conector and 1x6 PCIe pin power conector?

They look like this:

Cheers!!!
Adding to what @Vyrvelata said, if you're playing light/well-optimized games it might not bottleneck as much so you will be fine at 1080p gaming - but for AAA games you will most likely see that 21% bottleneck since multi-core CPU games are starting to raise in popularity. But overall, yes there will be a CPU bottleneck that varies per game.

That's a 4 core 4 thread processor, no SMT. 4 Threads is not enough for many modern games. Luckily you just need to update your motherboard bios and can find plenty of newer ryzen processors to plop right in.

I'd recommend you get a processor with the highest clocks you can find and a minimum 6 core 12 threads for future proofing. It all depends on your budget of course.

Those calculators are pretty much just garbage. Depends so much on the specific game that your bottleneck could switch from the processor to the video card just depending on the game.

Made me LOL so bad when I checked mine,

It's completely backwards since my processor is overclocked and run a 1440p monitor.
