Ryzen 3 1300X vs 2200G

Is there a point in getting the 1300X or even the 1200 when in my country 2200G is cheaper by 20 and 10 USD respectively.

I've read about the 2200G's Vega 8 taking up half of the PCIe x16 leaving x8 for a dedicated GPU but I've also seen benchmarks showing that it doesn't matter.

Is the 2200G my best bet then?

Absolutely , just bear in mind for safetys sake you want a b450 board.

What are the main benefits with using B450 over a B350 board?

Really none apart from,the fact that b350 boards 'may' come with a bios thats too old to boot with the 2200g.

All b450 boards are compatible out of the box.

You cannot update a b350 board without a compatible cpu.

If you can get a b350 board that is guaranteed to be on a compatible bios its a non-issue
