Question Ryzen 3 2200g and MSI B450M Pro-M2-V2 AMD Mother Board?

Hi,
I am wondering if the Ryzen 3 2200g is compatible with a AM4 MSI B450M PRO-M2-V2 motherboard. I don't have that much knowledge in Ryzen and I want to make sure that is it compatible and am I required to do a bios update to make them work together? I don't really understand fully as I have been using intel for all of my computers. Can someone please explain if it would work? Thanks
