I am in the process of building a pc for a friend. However when I went to test boot there’s no video signal. So I swapped out for my ram hard drive and my gpu yo test all those and still no video signal. I inspected the cpu and socket and all looks well. Only thing I can think of is the mobo is a ASRock a320m dgs, and the cpu is a Ryzen 3 2200g. Will the mobo need a bios update to run the 2200g? I don’t have a spare cpu that’ll fit into the socket to update it either, is there any other solution?

You need to flash BIOS to version P4.40.

You can apply for free "boot kit" if other options don't appeal to you.

This kit is actually just an A6-9500 APU that the company will ship to you to boot up your system, apply the necessary update and install your new Raven Ridge Ryzen 2000G APU.

You will need to return the APU but can keep the heatsink/fan.
