I've taken a look at my processor's clocks speed during gaming and I have noticed that the clock speed fluctuates between all cores and tends to stay around 2.5 GHz - 3 GHz on average while gaming. Mine isn't even reaching 3.5 which would be the base clock. Help appreciated.
