I was using fx-6300 with gt 1030. The gaming performance was enough for me with some occasional obs recordings. But my motherboard died. Cpu is probably in not a best condition either. Since i have to replace it, i might as well get a new system. So with my current budget i can get a ryzen 3 2200g or a i3-9100f. Saw some youtube comparison. I'm leaning towards i3. I'm also considering 16gb 2666mhz ram.
I'm planning on upgrading the gpu in a couple of months. I'd like to know if it's enough to play and record gameplays for now? As long as i get the same level of performance as before I'm ok with it for now. But in the long run, is it enough for streaming when i get a new gpu? For that which one would be better?
Current prices in my contry-
I3-9100f (94$)+ Asus Ex B-365M-V (84$)
Ryzen 3 2200g (107$)+ Asus Prime A320M-K/CSM (61$)

*Edit- i might get some better products in the same price on black friday sales. But i have some urgent works unfinished that i have to get done in 1-2weeks and I don't know any upcoming sales coming before it.

If getting an AM4 mainboard for gaming, one can often find the R5-1600 discounted to as low as $79-$99...; pair that with a B450 mainboard costing about as much..

As you are getting a GPU anyway, there is no real point in getting one with an integrated GPU, so I'd consider the 2200G only if the R5-1600 is priced too outrageously in your area...

(Try hard for 6 cores if starting a new rig...quad cores (even hyperthreaded/SMT variants) are already somewhat handicapped in many newer games...(in fact, many 6c/6t CPUs are often uncomfortably dragged down in minumum framerates for some folks)

I wanted the R5 1600 at first too given it's extra cores. But i saw some comparison and the i3 9100f is almost evenly matched with r5 1600 in case of gaming performance. Also, it's priced at 150$ here. I can mostly spend 100-110$ for the cpu. I really don't need something high end. As long as it satisfies my needs I'm ok with it. Since i already have a discrete gpu, and I'll be upgrading that I was thinking i3 would be better. But how will the performance vary? For gaming and streaming (later)?

Better go with the i3-9100f if the pricing on the Ryzen 5 1600 is expensive in your region. I dont think it will stand while streaming and gaming. For that Ryzen 1600 would be the better choice.
