Hi! I am starting to build a PC and because of the high prices of GPUs here in UAE, I choose to start with an APU build. As the title states, which one should I choose to start with?

Here are the several factors to consider in this build:

1) Cost: Based on local shops here in UAE.
The 2200G costs around 109USD.
The 2400G costs around 170USD.

2) This is mainly a gaming build (1080p) but sometimes I would do photo/video editing and recording/mixing/mastering of music but not that much.

3) I plan to purchase a dedicated GPU around 3 - 6 months after the initial build. Maybe a GTX 1060 or an RX 570/580 would do.

4) After buying a dedicated GPU, I plan to sell the APU after 3 months and upgrade to a better Ryzen CPU (a 2600?).

Your response will highly be appreciated! Thanks!

EDIT:
Here are the main components for my build as of now:
CPU: ?????
MOBO: GIGABYTE AB350M-DS3H (Rev. 1.x) = 89USD
RAM: 8 GB DDR4-3000MHz CL16 Patriot Viper, 2x4GB kit = 119USD
SSD: WD Green 120GB SATA III 6Gb/s 2.5"" 7mm Internal SSD [WDS120G1G0A] = 29USD
HDD: Blue 1TB HDD WD10EZEX 64 MB SATAIII/600 7200rpm 2RZ = 39 USD
PSU: 450W "Antec" Strictly Power Supply VP-450P = 39USD
CASE: Anything that would accomodate the above parts 😀

Please bear in mind that I only want to purchase all the parts locally, no buying overseas. Cheers!

Solution
if its just temporary build for gaming, go for r3 2200G, in games its about 5fps slower than 2400G, which is nothing

as for PSU
gtx 1060 - 400w psu
rx 570 - 450w psu
rx580 - 500w psu

r3 will be quite fine, if you're fine with low settings (maybe mid) go for r3. it will save you $ for better CPU later on.
I would recommend bx300 ssd as they are cheaper now and faster than green.

still it depends on where you are.
other than that, youre good to go.

The GPU of ryzen 3 2200g (vega 8) is much weaker than that of ryzen 5 2400g (vega 11). In fact it is even weaker than the GT 1030 which is the weakest GPU that is currently sold. ryzen 3 2200G is only for basic games at 720p

Between the two I would recommend the Ryzen 5 2400G. Its GPU is similar to RX 550.

Regarding the GPU, currently in Europe the prices of RX 580/570 are quite low. A few months ago they were much more expensive than GTX 1060 6G and now they are on par. I do not know the situation in your country, but probably in a short time you will also receive rebates.

The RX 580 is somewhat better than the GTX 1060 6G but the latter consumes much less.
GTX 1060 6G requires the PSU to have a 6-pin PCI-E power cable.
I would need a good PSU of at least 450 w.

Most RX 580 require a PSU with an 8-pin PCI-E and a 6-pin PCI-E cable. You need a good PSU of at least 550-600 W.

I believe that the chosen PSU only has a 6-pin PCI-E cable. In any case, it is not a suitable PSU for a gaming PC. It is a basic PSU for office equipment and little else. Choose a higher quality PSU with 80+ certification (and if you can gold) with the right w of the GPU that you will be put in the future. A bad PSU can ruin all the equipment.

The CPU of the Ryzen 5 2400G is similar to the Ryzen 5 1500X and is fully capable of supporting the GTX 1060 6GB or RX 580.

So basically if I get the 2400G now, I will have the option to keep it even after I install a GTX 1060 or RX 580 (both GPU's are priced the same here)? For the PSU, thanks for the advice, I will look for a much better one.
