Hi guys,

So I’ve decided to build a cheap small form factor pc soon. It's just for general use and gaming. I've narrowed it down to either a 2200g with 3000Mhz DDR4 (since the ram makes a big difference with igps) or an Athlon X4 950 paired with a GT 1030. I made sure both are AM4 for future upgrades. Both builds will be similarily priced. I'll be overclocking both builds, cpu and graphics card. I'm planning on swapping in a GT 1050ti low profile in after a while and maybe an r5 1600x somewhere down the road.

At first I'm thinking that the Athlon X4 950 paired with the GT 1030 (both OC'ed) will slightly edge out the 2200g (cpu and igp OC'ed) in games. Yet the 2200G will be a better CPU once the GT 1050ti gets swapped in.

With the mentioned planned upgrades in mind, I just wanted to hear some 2nd opinions. Which path would you guys go along?

Yeah, the 2200g is amazing value for money, and seeing as how I'll be adding in a gt 1050ti afterwards, the cpu is better than the x4 950. For the time being, vega 8 igp will do fine. I'll have fun overclocking this build!
