[SOLVED] Ryzen 3 2200g vs i5 4590 gaming

I'm debating whether or not to get the i5 4590 over the R3 2200g. All cpu tests that I've looked at say that the Ryzen is a bit better but people online say that the i5 is more worth it. Which one should I get?

Edit: I have a GTX 960 and 16gb of ram. I'm buying a new motherboard along with whichever cpu I choose because my current mobo has a dead ram slot.

you're going to have to get DDR4 ram if you go with the ryzen. if you have DDR3 get the i5 (or i7 would be better still).
