I have this build here, i noticed the error where i will need to get another cpu to update the bios.

Will there be a problem with the Prime a320-k MATX board?

You need BIOS 3203 for it to run a 2200G.

Either the board will need to ship with latest BIOS, or you'll need an older generation CPU to update it yourself. You can also get a boot kit from AMD to update the BIOS.

If the board is shipped to you with a BIOS that predates 3203, then it will not boot until updated.

Or do you already have the motherboard?

There might be a sticker on the exterior of the box which says what BIOS version is installed. Otherwise, there's no way of knowing without installing it first.

Of course, there's always a chance that the board you get has been sitting on a shelf somewhere for months and still has the old BIOS. Just because ASUS says it doesn't mean that's what you're going to get.
