So I've bought a ryzen 3 3200g for a system I'm building for my girlfriend. I've been on this website numerous times and once posted a thread asking whether a b450 motherboard is necessary compared to a320, as the former tends to be more expensive, and this system is relatively budget based (ryzen 3200g and rx570 8gb). However I've seen a few posts online saying that a320 motherboard cannot have their bios updated to support ryzen 3.
Just want to know if anyone can help?

Cheers :)

Contact the retailer. If MSI shipped it with a updated BIOS it could be marked on the box with a 3rd gen ready sticker.

Besides that you could get a MSI MAX board which would work with that CPU or MSI has a few B450 boards that has a feature that allows you to update the BIOS without a CPU.

Note that only a few MSI boards have this feature.

Which motherboard exactly?

To figure out if the A320 will work you need to specify which board it is and if it ships with a updated BIOS by contacting the retailor.
msi a320 pro vd plus - this says supports ryzen 1 and 2, but it came out before ryzen 3 so I dont know whether i'll be able to update the BIOS?
