Hi, I am currently using an Asrock A320M-HDV R4.0 with a 6-pin power supply and a maximum TDP of 105W. Does this processor support Zen 2 (3000) will require a major motherboard upgrade? I have no plans to clock. I have ideas of something like the R5 3600-R7 3700X both have the same TDP as my 5 2600.

If you are not in a hurry, with Zen 3 around the corner (launch day is october 8), I would really hold on a bit cause most likely Ryzen 3xxx (Zen 2) prices may drop later on.
Thank you very much for your answer. And what do you think about the motherboard, do you think it will start 3000 generations without VRM overheating?

The Asrock A320, as any other A320M-HDV mobo is a basic/really budget AM4 socket motherboard. But that does not means it can't candle the R5 3600, or even the R7 3700X.

Its not the best mobo out there but those CPU should work after a BIOS update (be sure to read carefully all the instructions on Asrock website) for your particular model.
Usually the worst part of A320 mobos is the memory support. Ryzen 3xxx shows better performance with fast RAM, but Ive read a lot about A320 mobos not always been able to hit DDR4 3200 speeds.

Anyways, you probably have RAM already, so keep it and use it.
