Hello,
I have a mediocre HP laptop with Ryzen 3500u with 2x8 GB RAM (DDR4 3200), and NVME SSD (should be really fast according to the specs) using W10. Since the GPU uses 2 GB, effectively 14 GB RAM. Lately with the heavier use (not gaming, rendering etc., just office work with many apps opened simultaneously) the laptop starts to act sluggish, on moments unusable.
Is this due to the crappy CPU or lack of available RAM or combination of both?
In other words, I could upgrade the RAM to 32 GB. Would that bring improvement? I would want to squeeze at least one more year out the laptop if viable.
Thanks for the opinions in advance.
