Hello

i wanted to upgrade my pc to ryzen but I don’t know which cpu
It comes down to either the ryzen 3600 or the ryzen 3600x

there are two configs that I can afford with my money

1.
ryzen 3600+msi b450 Gaming pro Carbon ac

2. ryzen 3600x + msi b450 tomahawk Max

For just Cs Go which profits from higher single core performance should I buy ryzen 3600 or ryzen 3600x ?
And do I need an aftermarket cooler to run bove cpu‘s in Stock speed ?

The stock cooler won’t do ‘low’ temperatures all the time. It will do safe temperatures all the time at stock speeds.
What are safe temperatures ?

my old i5 7400 never run over 60 degrees when playing Cs go
Will the ryzen go above 60 degrees with stock cooler ? When playing a long Time ?

The max temp for these CPU’s is 95c, for safe operation you really want to stay under 80-85c. The link I sent you had temperature information during extreme stress testing. The temperature when gaming would be lower than the extreme stress test, especially in a game like CS GO that can only use 4 threads.

For €30 it’s probably not worth the upgrade. I would try the stock cooler first before just buying a cheap alternative. If you can find it for €30 the Hyper 212 Evo is usually a good cheap option but as I said try the stock cooler.
