I'm building my son a new computer and I'm going with the Ryzen 3600X. I want a good motherboard that I can take out of the box and not worry about bios upgrade issues, basically a plug and play setup. My price range for motherboard is around 200 dollars. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Any other suggestions for a good motherboard. The MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX is currently out of stock at multiple sites (Amazon, Newegg, etc). Or is it best to wait until they come in stock ?

amd recently said that x470 and b450 will support next gen ryzen. Also i replied on the may 9th,and b550 came out in like in June 16th so i didnt hear about b550 then so thats why i didnt recommend it.B550 would be a better option.
Ya but that wont be out of the box experience...support after bios update(considering no bricking occurs).
And in future i B550 would be more compatible with upcoming processors also.
Thats my understanding.
