Hi!
First: Sorry for my bad english, it isn't my native language... :confused_old:

I want to upgrade my current PC build and need your advice and knowledge on some points.
I'm playing often games on it, so it should be powerful enough to handle them well. I want to play on WQHD + Ultra settings @ 60FPS.
Most of the time i play AAA Games (Hitman 2, upcoming Modern Warfare, The Witcher 3, Metro Exodus, BF V,...)
My budget is about 1500-1600€.
Some RGB things would be nice, but not tooo much ( I think RAM, GPU and Mainboard are enough)
I don't need a monitor (Dell S2716DG), case (be quiet! Darkbase Pro 900), or SSD's/HDD. Those things are all from my current build.

My furture build should look something like this:

  • CPU: Ryzen 3700X
  • CPU-Cooler: DarkRock Slim or Brocken 3
  • RAM: 32GB G.Skill Trident Z RGB 3200 Mhz
  • Mainboard: Asus ROG Strix X570 E or F
  • PSU: be quiet! STRAIGHT POWER 11 750W
  • Case: be quiet! Darkbase Pro 900 (Rev. 1) (is my current one)
  • Graphic: RTX 2080
  • HDD / SSD: 500GB Samsung SSD 850 for Windows 10 + 250 GB Samsung SSD 860 for the games.
  • 1x Samsung SSD 840 120GB (stay's empty, maybe for 2nd OS in the future) + Seagate Barracuda 1TB for Downloads etc.

My questions are:
  • Which RAM should I take?
  • Has the ROG Strix X570 E something more to offer than Bluetooth/WLAN?
  • Which RTX2080 would you pick? I hope to get a good price on sale before the RTX2080 Super arrives.
  • DarkRock Slim good enough for my build?
  • It should be as silent as possible, any things to watch out - more cooler's in the case?
Thank you all for your advice! (y)

I'm nowhere near knowledgeable but as far as coolers go i'd suggest the Brocken 3 over the Darkrock Slim. 220tdp vs 180tdp. the Ryzen 3.6Ghz turbo's up to 4.4Ghz so i'd be thinking higher end cooler. Darkrock Pro 4 or a Noctua equal. i just ordered a Darkrock Slim for my 1st Gen i5 quad and it'll be enough for my needs even with a little OC but the Ryzen is a bit of a beast. i'd keep it cool_er.
