[SOLVED] Ryzen 3700x pn a b40 board or i7 9700k at stock better

Hi I currently own a i5 8400 with a rtx 2060 6gb with 2666mhz ddr4 16gb and wanting to upgrade the processor and the board which option would be better i7 9700k or ryzen 3700x hopefully upgrade the ram to 3200 16gb as well . And I do own a asus vg258qr 165hz monitor . Any recommendations thanks guys . Also I live in Australia as the ryzen 3700x cost 519 aud$ and i7 9700k cost aud$ 659 with darkrock 4 cooler

There's bunch of those tests on you tube, 3700x beets 9700 handily in most tests and practically better than 9900k.

For mainly gaming, the higher single thread performance of intel is better.
You might find your games in this review:

If you buy 3700X you will also need a am4 motherboard. The current X570 motherboards seem awfully expensive to me.
A i7-9700K should work perfectly well on your current motherboard.
You will get more threads and higher clocks.
If your motherboard is Z370/Z390 you can overclock to the 5.0 range.
