[SOLVED] Ryzen 3700x running at 4.00 Ghz on idle?

I've only noticed this recently, but even when im doing nothing the CPU will constrantly run above 4.00Ghz. In terms of usage and temps, usage stays around 1-10% which i believe is normal while the temp stays at around 50-60 C. Is this all ok, or do I need to mess around with the BIOS settings?

[SOLVED] - Is it normal for Ryzen 7 3700x to boost when idle? which is causing high temps

I recently purchased a Ryzen 7 3700x and when I'm performing basic tasks such as using Chrome, Discord etc. the CPU seems to go up to 4.3ghz which causes the temps to go as high as 67c. So the temps just keep going from 38-67. Is this normal? I updated bios to the newest version and have the...

Yes it is normal for Ryzen, you may also check you temps under heavy load, it should not be higher than 85c.

You also need to update BIOS and chipset as recent updates fixed some issues. And I would suggest to enable AMD balanced as your power profile

You have something running in the background obviously. Check you Startup list and Task manager.
Right now, with Firefox open with several active tabs on my system most cores are asleep with 2 cores at 2.2GHz (slightly oscillating), it's at 1% usage.
PS. You may also want to check your Power plan and set Minimum processor state to about 5%..
