I recently bought the 3700x, as expected, it needed my rog strix x470-F gaming motherboard to update the bios. once that finished i put in the 3700x again and it posted and booted it up. TODAY, the Dram LED light went on while booting up the pc. i re-slotted both sticks, nothing. i then put in my old 2600x and pc booted up. not sure if its my RAM and the CPU is dead.

Can you check if your RAM is on your motherboard's QVL as it might not be fully compatible with the 3700x if it isn't listed.

I just bought these today: G.Skill Trident Z Neo Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin RGB PC4-28800 DDR4 3600MHz CL16-19-19-39 1.35V Desktop Memory Model F4-3600C16D-16GTZNC
currently i have Trident Z rgb 16b 3000 mhz (f4-3000c15D-16gtzr) strangely enough, they arent technically compatible with the x470 i'm curretly using and they work fine. but we're see. new kit comes tommorow.
