Question Ryzen 3900x temps crazy while gaming

I have a r9 3900x
Recently got COD modern warfare
Since i got a rtx 2080 super i put everything to ultra
Cooler - Noctua NH-D15s

Temps go to about 75-82 C while gaming
Is it normal ?

I ggot 3 intake fans and one out fan in my case as far as case cooling

Gpu is a 3 fan model

My 3900X hits 85-90 degrees when the system is under load when encoding...

That's hot! Is the cooler mounted correctly? What's the fans set at?

All the new AMD CPUs run hotter than expected. It's because of the smaller 7 nm die which places more transistors per square mm than older CPUs. The higher the density the hotter the CPU. Like I said, my 3900X idles at 35-40 degrees and runs up to 90 degrees under load with a Corsair H115i RGB Platinum cooler). This is a lot hotter than my old Intel i7 6700K which hit 65 degrees with an air cooler.

AMD's new 3950X does not come with any cooler. AMD recommends a 280mm water cooler as a minimum for the 3950X. With 16 cores, you can expect to get a lot hotter than the 12 core 3900x.

It actually runs cooler than the 3900x due to some smart voltage optimizations

Some reports acknowledge that the 3950 runs cooler, but there have been others that state it ran a bit hotter... I guess it depends on your particular chip you end up with... At least it's not a lot hotter than the 3900x

Much depends on if you run PBO or not and if you do, where it decides to set voltages and power limits etc. All of which is dependent on the motherboard and just how well the VRM's are cooled and of what design. Mid range MSI x570's run very hot VRM's, compared to Asus or gigabyte, and don't really catch up until you get into the high end mobo's.
