[SOLVED] Ryzen 3900x with 2080s and 16gb 3000mhz?

Hi guys
Wanted to ask, using only 8x2 on 3000mhz is enough (or good enough) for gaming on ryzen 3900x and 2080s?
Im having some FPS drops in some games, for example NIOH 2 , my OLED tv preforms excellent with 2k res hdr with 120fps most of the time but from now and then it drops to 30-40 FPS , really annoys me..

so 16 gigs is enough for 3900x?
(with stock cooler)

Sure, it is enough for gaming.
How are the temps of both gpu and cpu?

2x8 is the norm for gaming currently.
Im also wondering about your temps with the stock cooler.

well cpu temps are max - 75 when gaming (the fan is going crazy on and off )
gpu is 60-65 in game

i cant figure out whats the issue. my friend having same gpu but older intel cpu and he plays 60 solid no issue

Set the fan curve for a constant tolerable level (70-80%?) so it does not ramp up to an overly loud level, and see if it keeps temps below 80C...

If not, buy a better cooler...

Can be >10%. Try switching it off and see what difference it makes.

well still i think that 3900x and 2080s should be more then fine with HDR enabled too//
do you think that buying dark rock pro 4 / noctua d15s will do the trick??

NH-D15 vs stock cooler?
First round K.O for the D15.
Same goes for Dark Rock Pro 4.
The one downside is they are huge, so make sure you have enough space in your case for them.

Well it might not solve your FPS issue (or maybe it will who knows), but it will cool way better while being much more silent.

im using my LABS products (working in computer store/lab) noctua paste
i will preform clean win10 setup and report back if its fixed for me (with stock cooler)

Is this a 2080 Super or 2080s as in multiple 2080 GPUs? There's a reason we don't use abbreviations that make things look like multiples of another thing. In addition, what is the resolution? People tend to use 2K resolution interchangeably to mean 1920x1080 (1080p), 2560x1440 (1440p), or the official definition, 2048x1080. It's helpful for us to understand the scenario fully.
