Hello everyone,
hope all is well.

I have been running a 3900X along a X570 ASUS E Gaming Strix motherboard. My ram is @ 1.36V 3200MHz and CPU usually runs at around 4.4-4.5GHz and up to 4.6GHz in cases. I have not had an issue, however, I want to make sure I won't in the near future. My motherboard has an 8-pin CPU connector for power as well as a 4-pin. I have only been running with the 8-pin connector while nothing on the 4-pin.

Is the 4 pin necessary or is it there just for extreme overclocking (which Im not doing)?

Yes, for extreme OC but also tom feed multiple PCIe devices.
