Hi,

I'm currently looking to upgrade my cpu to another Ryzen. I am not too sure what to upgrade to. I don't really play too many triple A games. Mainly just play competitive games at the moment and every now and then play some single player titles.

I was looking at a 5xxx series but the motherboard (a bit old) doesn't support it. So I was thinking about a 3600 or 3700x.

I am also planning on upgrading my monitor so ideally I'd like to spend what would give me the best value for what I mainly do.

Any advice?

Thanks
Current specs:
CPU: Ryzen 5 1400
Mobo: ASRock A320M-HDV
GPU: RTX 3060
PSU: Corsair 550W
RAM: Currently have 16GB 3200

well it is better to upgrade the motherboard and the cpu together since that motherboard is not adequate enough for a good cpu like the one you mentioned.

Well it's either a good b450 motherboard and cpu, or a good b560 motherboard and an intel cpu (10th and 11th gen). please list the budget.

Budget wise I'd probably say somewhere around 500-600.

Is the motherboard not good enough for a 3600?
Budget stuff. I'm curious about your PSU.

Ryzen 5600X, B550 and 3600 MT/s RAM or i5-11xxx, B560 and 3200 - 3600 MT/s RAM.

What country do you live and do you have a link to a shop where you want to purchase?

Canada. I was probably going to buy from like Amazon, Canada computers.

I have a 550W Corsair PSU right now.

Either cpu should give a nice bump in perf.

Is there something specific I should look for between the different motherboards? Or whichever has a better price?
