Hey, Ive been doing quite a bit of research lately on the topic of pc building and have came up with a solution of buying the Ryzen 5 1500x with a B350 mobo, a gtx 1060 6gb and 8gb of 3000mhz (as its priced the same as 2400 where im buying). I was wondering if the cpu will bottleneck the gpu or vice versa.

Also, would the Ryzen 5 1400 be a good match for the gtx 1060 3gb?

I would be looking at the 1200 4 core or the 1600 6 core if you are willing to do a little overclocking. Both of these are the cheaper Ryzen CPU's in the range and will easily OC above the 1500x and 1600x at stock frequencies. If you are not willing to OC the 1500x and 1600x are very good bang for the buck with high boost speeds.

None of these will bottleneck a 1060.

Thanks a lot. However, would I not see worse gaming performance from the ryzen 3 lineup?

Yes the 1200 is a quad core only no SMT so only 4 threads. However it is a valid budget option. Here is a good review of it :

Thanks, however i think im going to stay with the 1500x, and also 1 more question, would a corsair cx450m psu be enough to power the rig?

Thanks a lot, however I will be planning to overclock both the cpu and the gpu further down the line
