Ryzen 5 1500x on an a320 mb?

Hello , im building a new system, i just bought an asus a320m-k mb and im only missing cpu now.. the plan was to put an 1500x in it and since i wasnt planing on overclocking at all it seemed like a good cheap solution but when i went there to buy it the guy whos working there told me that 1500x is too much for that mb and ill have fireworks in my room if i pair them.. overclocking aside will it cause problems? should i get an 1300x instead? ( i really dont want too but since i bought it already... )

1500X is good to have since you have A320 MB. You should still get a B350 MB, since all Ryzens can OC A320 can not OC...

yea im gona replace it eventually but at least not in the next 6 months or so .. he seemed to be pretty sure about it although i know it supports the cpu .. he had me confused there ..
