Ryzen 5 1600 3000Mhz CL15 or Ryzen 5 2600 2666 CL16

Hi,
so I was building pc with GTX 1060 6GB in it, and I can´t decide between Ryzen 5 1600 with ddr4 3000MHz CL15 RAM and Ryzen 5 2600 with ddr4 2666MHz CL16 RAM, I was told that Ryzen benefits from faster RAM, but will it be enough to overweight the difference between 1st and 2nd generation? I also found out, that the RAM speed does not matter with gpu like gtx 1060 or lower, so I also want to know if I was asking the same question but the gpu would be 1070 or 1080, if the answer would be different.

Ryzen 5 2600. Just double and triple check that the memory is on the supported list.

Ram speed does not matter with a 1060 or less ... generally true, but there are exceptions. I would say that RAM speed matters less as the speed of the GPU goes down.
