[SOLVED] ryzen 5 1600 AF vs 3600

building tower on b450 motherboard, price difference is that ONE r5 3600 is = 2x 1600 AF 12nm , for future proof what should i do thanks for advices

Are you saying the 3600 is twice as expensive as the 1600? Can you afford that? It might make more sense to get the 1600 and spend the extra money on the GPU. As mentioned above it might also make more sense to get the 2700 or the 2700X. It really depends on your budget and use. At twice as much I'm not sure the 3600 is worth it over the 1600.

In that comparison I think @CountMike hit it with the 3600 being better if future proofing is the lone criteria. BUT...if future proofing actually IS the lone criteria then you really mustn't ignore Ryzen 2700 . If you can get it at the article's price the 2 extra cores/4 threads would be even better future proofing.

But whichever of the three is best for you depends entirely on how you intend on using your system. And also what, if any, plans you have beyond the immediate.
