I have just purchased a Ryzen 1600, along with a single stick of 2133 ram, with plans to eventually purchase another stick once I have the money. My motherboard only supports up to 2400 speeds with a single stick. I was wondering whether the performance difference between 2133 and 2400 is worth the effort of returning and spending more on ram.
Also, would it be an option to just overclock the ram I currently have nearer to 2400.

Thanks in advance.

Full specs:
Ryzen 5 1600
Asrock AB350 gaming k4
GTX 1060 6gb
DDR4 8gb 2133 of something or other
120 gb ssd
1tb hdd

May be relevant: I plan to attempt to overclock the cpu, not too much though as I will be using the stock cooler.

Board supports up to 3200

And yes ram speed makes a bit difference for ryzen

However just from 2133 to 2400 wouldn't make a major difference

Covers ram speeds

As I've said numerous times in the past 2666 is the proven sweet spot

That said , unless you're aiming for over 100fps on a 100htz+ screen it really doesn't make any difference to you
