Hello,
I got ryzen 5 1600 a couple of days ago. I m pretty happy with it so far. I am pretty new at overclocking and after several guides i gave it a try. Motherboard is Asus b350-f strix and a 16gb corsair 2666 kit. Results i got look pretty good so i don't know if i made a mistake or i am that lucky.
For ram i just used DOCP to 2666 and worked just fine and did a test with no errors.
For overclocking things i changed on mobo were:
At DIGI+VRM
VDDCR Load Line Calibration at Medium
Soc Load Line Calibration at Regular

VDDCR CPU VOLTAGE + 0.00625 offset (1.243V i see on cpu-z)
Disabled EPU Power Saving Mode
Disabled Core Performance Boost
Disabled Global C-State Control

After some attempts cpu reached 3.9 Ghz on that voltage which from the guides i seen seems low. Pc at 4 Ghz on same voltage froze at 1st cinebench r15 try.
I have done a couple IBT 10passes on high and one 10pass at very high.I did a prime95 all night stress with no errors. Idle temp is around 30 C and max i hit during stress was 73 C. Is there anything else i need do to consider this OC stable or do any of the things i changed is wrong?
I would appreciate your feedback since i am pretty new to this

Lol... you're right. The app just screwed up the core numbering sequence. Never saw that before. Those temps are very decent considering you are using the stock cooler. I've read where the Wraith does an unusually good job for a stock cooler.
71C is a bit warm, but you won't be hitting that temp for very long in normal use. And 3.9GHz is decent. My 1600X was pretty well maxed out at 4GHz with my Corsair H60.

Ryzen Master is probably the best app to use for confident results. Although I've found that HWInfo seems to agree with the RM results.
i checked temps in CPUID HWMonitor as well as Ryzen Master. The Wraith spire cooler and yes these are core temps. Do you see any odd numbers here?

I don't see how that screenshot could have been from a stress test. CPU utilization is way low. Like barely working.
Second, what is with the CPU#13? A 6C/12T processor doesn't have a 13th virtual core (thread).
Lastly, I don't see any core temps there. Just a package temp, which is even unusually low.

i am sorry that was just a regular use screenshot...this is during 10th pass in IBT. If you count core# they are 12, just core #6 and core#7 are missing from counting. Is there any other monitoring app u advise me to use, Ryzen master shows exact same temp as package temp.

thx a lot for the feedback :) ye never seen that high on normal use, gaming goes to 50ish. Last question which you consider daily use/gaming good temps? 50-60C?. 1600x 4ghz must be awesome. thx again

AMD doesn't like to release their processors' max core temps, for some reason. But any piece of modern silicon should be fine at 60C.
