Hi,

I'm planning on making a Ryzen 5 build and i've done my research and found that the 1600 is the best deal and it can achieve the same power as 1600x with oc and with the stock cooler

However i found out that the Ryzen 5 1600x is cheaper by 30$ !! Which surprised me, however as it's known it doesn't come with a stock cooler, but if i added an aftermark cooler like hyper 212 evo it would be around 15$ more expensive than ryzen 5 1600 alone.

Is it worth it to get the x version along with an aftermarket cooler since i would benefit from this cooler to overclock the x version? Or should i stick with the normal 1600 version with stock cooler?

Solution
If it's less it actually makes some kind of sense.

Be aware a lot of the aftermarket coolers require extra am4 brackets which while free (normally) may have to be ordered separately.

But like i said in the post it's cheaper!! With an aftermarket cooler i have calculated and found that i would pay 10$ more than getting the 1600 alone, and aftermarket coolers are very good and silent... please understand my post

If you are sure about the price, go for 1600X, can't see a reason why not :)

Thank you, i'm planning to get an aftermarket cooler that already supports am4 out of the box.
