[SOLVED] ryzen 5 1600 or i5 6600k

Hi im building a pc for my brother and my buget is 200$ I am building a pc for photo/video editing and I have everything except motherboard and a cpu. I already have a i5-6600k but i want a cpu that would be atleast close to what i5-6600k can do. so is ryzen 5 1600 a good option?
and also is this motherboard good option? Asus Prime B450M-K

The AMD Ryzen 5 1600 is a great option it is actually faster than the 6600k in the majority of workloads.

That b450 motherboard is fine for a 1600.

When choosing ram, make sure to get 3000-3200mhz in a dual channel config.

You will need a gpu to go with thw 1600 however.

For now I would give him my gt730 but im getting a new, better card so Ill give him my gtx 1050 an also for now he would get 2133mhz ddr4 2x4gb as it would be out of my budget to get him new ones is this fine for a temporary solution?
