Ryzen 5 1600 or I5 7500??

Hi,im 14 years old and building my first computer in about a month
I have everything figured out, but i saw the ryzen 5 1600 at only 30 dollars more than the i5 7500. But it will end up the same price if i have the stock fan on the ryzen 5 becouse there was no fan included with the i5 7500. So they are both the same price. I am gonna do gaming and video editing. Software: after effects,vegas pro and blender.

Shouldnt the ryzen 5 do much better with its 6 cores and 12 threads vs 4 cores and 8 threads.

Msi rx 480 4gb
500w psu
Phanteks p400s
16GB DDR4

4C, 4T only for i5. No hyperthreading.

The i5-7500 & Ryzen 1600 trade blows in gaming. It's pretty much a wash, with Intel coming out slightly on top in some games (a HANDFUL of frames per second).

Honestly, I'd build Ryzen between the two (and probably will later this year). Multitasking, video conversion, etc. will be much faster on the 6C/12T processor, and it can also be overclocked if you go with a B-series motherboard.

Yes, becouse i dont care about turning down the resolution or loosing a couple frames in gaming. But beeing able to multitask better and it will probably help in 3d editing software as well. Thank you so much!
