Ryzen 5 1600 Overclocking Issues - AIDA64

Hi, I am currently trying to overclock my Ryzen 5 1600 on the stock cooler. I have it at 3.8GHz at the moment, at exactly 1.35625V. I have been gradually increasing the clock speed but I don't want to go any further than this. I am using the AIDA64 stress test, and I am getting no extremely high temperatures or anything, but after about 2 and a half hours every time my display will stop getting any input, and my keyboard & mouse will switch off and not turn back on even if I unplug and replug them.

Is what I am experiencing a crash in AIDA64, so I would just need to keep increasing the voltage or decreasing the speed until it doesn't do this, or is something else going on?

My motherboard is the Asus ROG Strix B350-F, and my PSU is the Corsair RMx 650W. I tried 3.8GHz at 1.35625V and it's still going now after 3 hours. The current temperature is 76, which I think is pretty good considering it was left in a hot room for two hours as I accidentally left the radiator on.

After a crash, AIDA reports when the program crashes and what the temperature was at the time of the crash, but it isn't much use as the temperature reported in AIDA isn't correct for some reason.

If this test keeps going past 5 hours is it ok to say that it is stable?

Awesome. If the test is fine after 5 hours and gaming performs good, should I just leave it at that or try to lower the voltage a bit more to get it cooler?

Hi Guys

So I overclocked to 3.8GHz at 1.35V and did a stress test for over 6 hours with no problems at all. After a few days I noticed that sometimes my PC takes multiple boot attempts before actually booting up, which it never did before.

Also, in NZXT Cam, I am seeing fluctuations in temperature from 33 - 46 degrees while idle. I am also having trouble playing Rainbow 6 Siege, it keeps crashing after about 15 minutes of play time. (This only started tonight.)

Do you think this is an issue with my overclock? Do I need to add more voltage or lower the clock speed or something?

multiple post sometimes happens. It usually occur if shutdown is more than a day or two. Not too much info I can find, but someone claims it is modern mb design to protect components and improve stability. Mine will do multiple post too sometime even if it passed prime95 (not recommended by many people for its too extreme stress test)/aida 64/real bench.

Hello, for me the opposite happens. I was able to OC my 1600 to 3.75ghz on AUTO voltage(1.2V). Then I try to OC to 3.8 and its not stable so I increase my voltage to 1.3.......Whenever I change my voltage even if I go undervoltage cpuz says my cpu is running at 1550mhz speed....Do you know any solutions to this? I have a BEQUIET! Dark Rock Pro 3 cpu cooler...@3.75ghz and under load of me gaming the temps only go up to 45c so I'm pretty sure it's not the temperature

Thanks for the reply! But then howcome when I change my voltage manually to 1.3 my clock speed goes down to 1550mhz?
