Ryzen 5 1600 RAM Issues

I'll attempt to be as succinct as possible; I realize this is a very popular topic.

16GB 3200 MHz RAM Corsair Vengeance LPX White
MSI x370 Gaming Plus MOBO
GTX 1070
Ryzen 5 1600, stock Wraith Spire Cooler

I have tried pretty much everything in an attempt to get my RAM running above 2133MHz. I've posted on Reddit, followed advice from other threads here on Tom's, and will include some other steps taken below:

Flashed BIOS. I have the most recent version for my MOBO.
I have tried XMP profiles.
I have reseated my RAM multiple times.
I have tried other RAM sticks.
My CPU is not overclocked at all.
I have tried manually setting my timings - 16, 18, 18, 36, v1.35
Nothing has worked.

I am looking for one of two answers:

Preferably, do you have any other advice on achieving AT LEAST 2667MHz? From what I've read, that is the minimum RAM speed you want Ryzen running at for optimal performance; thus, I do not want it running lower than that.

Alternative question - What would be the Intel equivalents for the MOBO and CPU? I am within my returning period for all components of my PC, and I don't see why I should have to wait for more BIOS updates to roll out with my fingers crossed that it will allow my RAM to function. I'm very unimpressed with how common this issue appears to be, and while it would aggravate me to have to disassemble my PC due to this, I'd rather have something that I can guarantee will work versus a BIOS lottery.

If I am missing any pertinent pieces of information, please inform me, and I will gladly provide. Thank you very much for your time.

Solution
Does refund cost you any money? If so, just get another MB, 7700k will be more expensive as it will need a good cooler. Intel runs hot :) A comparison of Ryzen 1600 and 7700k in 1080p: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8K2yc11eC4
After 2 mins is all the comparison. For the performance-cost ratio, I will stick to Ryzen, not to mention no upgrade path for 7700k anymore.
OK, just thought I'd ask. I haven't made the jump to Ryzen yet (still on a FX6300 for my main rig), but I have seen several threads here on Toms about getting RAM to run at 29xx on Ryzen rigs, with the currently available BIOS. I will see if I can find any of the threads.

Yes, I can do that, but to confirm, are you sure I should go with

Instead of

16
18

36

I was under the impression that tRCDRD and tRCDWR were supposed to be the same value.

The first, that is not correct. Each ram has 5 timing settings and it is 16-16-18-18-36 for yours

I am not sure I feel entirely comfortable OCing my CPU just to reach a decent RAM speed. From many other threads I’ve read, plenty of people have been able to reach at least 2933 with stock settings. My fear is that my MOBO is to blame due to MSI failing to release proper BIOS updates that address the problem. That said, if you believe it is safe to assist me in OCing my CPU in and that it might get my RAM working, then I suppose I can give it a shot; however, I’m feeling a bit squeamish and nearing the point of refunding the MOBO and CPU.

Darn. Well, hey, it happens. I really appreciate your assistance either way! Thank you very much for taking the time to assist me. That said, I might splurge on an Intel CPU and MOBO as they’re what I’m used to building and working with. Would a 7700k be a decent choice over the Ryzen 5 1600 at 1080p? If so, what board would you recommend I pair it with?

Hahahahaha, well, preferably, I’d like my RAM to run at the proper speed without having to disassemble my entire PC. I don’t suppose there’s any chance at all that another set of RAM might work? G.Skill, perhaps?

Now that I think about it, what timings and voltages would you suggest if I wanted to try hitting 2667 with my RAM? We only tried the higher options, but 2667 would make me happy.
