I'm going to build my first PC with a Ryzen 5 1600. I keep hearing that it unstable at 3200, I'm not planning to overclock but will a 2400 work or 3000? Will getting something below 3000Mhz make it slower? I'm really confused. Any suggestions what Ram to get?(2x8gb)

Hi JOSEPH :)

Not all RAM is stable and work at their rated speed with the AM4 platform atm.
It depends on which MB and Bios revision you are on.?
Whichever MB manufacturer you choose, you should update your Bios to the latest and select RAM from the MB QVL that have been tested.

If you choose OC RAM then be prepared to Tweak your Primary Timings and Voltages in Bios as they may not work in accordance with their SPD or XMP profile.
