According to userbenchmark.com, the Ryzen 5 2600 and the Ryzen 5 1600x are basically equivalent to each other. But, I can get the Ryzen 5 1600x for much cheaper. Should I go for the 2600 or should I go for the 1600X? And what motherboard should I get for either one if I do choose it, I heard than Zen+ is coming out or something but I don't really understand that so advice would be needed

I do want a motherboard that is above £80 but if possible below £115, meaning that finding one suitable is quite hard for either cpu

Please advise

Solution
The r5 2600 has a lower TDP, is newer and includes a stock cooler (as opposed to the 1600x).
Thus, unless there is a significant difference in price, grab the r5 2600 along with a decent b450 motherboard.
However, if your plan is to watercool or overclock you CPU, you aren't going to be needing the stock cooler, so getting the cheapest CPU+motherboard combo would be the most reasonable choice.
