Hi there to all the great minds on Tomshardware.

Usually I would be sifting through threads to find answers on questions regarding upgrades, but since I can't seem to find anything related to my question I guess it's my turn to ask the questions.

I am considering buying one of the following upgrade kits:

1.
AMD RYZEN 5 1600X
ROG STRIX B350-F GAMING AM4 RYZEN DDR4
8GB HyperX Predator DDR4 3200MHz RGB RAM High Performance Gaming Memory

2.
AMD RYZEN 5 2400G
ROG STRIX B350-F GAMING AM4 RYZEN DDR4
8GB HyperX Predator DDR4 3200MHz RGB RAM High Performance Gaming Memory

I am currently running the following:
i5 2400 CPU
16GB 1300mhz budget RAM
A second hand intel 1150 socket motherboard I got from a friend
MSI GTX 780 Lightning 3GB GPU

I am having trouble deciding between the two upgrade kits as I am not sure which will give me the best performance when paired with the GTX780.

I play games such as Overwatch, Dota 2, Black Ops 4 @ 1920x1080 - 60Hz.

I also use my PC for design applications such as AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor etc.

Any feedback in helping me decide between the two will be greatly appreciated. :)

Thanks Obakasama.
I was leaning towards the 1600X bundle too, but according to this guide investing in the newer generation CPU is a safer bet.

For the time being I will consider this my first option thanks to your help. :)
