Hi all,
I'm having trouble with this new build:
* Motherboard: MSI B350M Pro-VDH (Bios update to 7A38vAD)
* CPU/GPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2400G
* RAM: Ram Group DDR4 Vulcan 2X8GB 3000 Red (CL16)
* HD: Samsung 970 EVO 500GB (M2)
* OS: Windows 10 , build 1809
I installed all the hardware and was able to install windows 10 and all drivers. The system seemed stable at first. However when shutting down the system it was no longer able to boot and there was no output to the screen. (connected through HDMI).
The lights on the EZ debug leds changed during boot and only the light for the CPU goes on and off again. I thought the problem was related to the RAM, however the normal debugging issues did not work (changing the sticks, changing XMP profile, testing each stick separatly, testing on different location). After resetting the CMOS using the JBAT1 jumper i managed to get back into the BIOS.
I tried all kinds of settings for the IGD as well (PEG, IGD with and without force option), none seem to work.
Resetting the system to the defaults will let me boot into windows only once. Restarting the pc using the restart option in windows is not a problem, this works fine, however after shutting down the system completely and trying to reboot there is no output to the display. The EZ debug leds don't give any clue (none lights up except CPU for a brief moment).
All the hardware seems to work fine as I am able to boot into windows and work for a prolonged time (tested up to 2 days), however shutting down the system I'm unable to restart it and allways have to do a CMOS reset to be able to get it running again.
Any clue on what the culprit might be: I don't know it this is BIOS or Windows related? What should be the correct settings for both (this is my first build with AMD integrated graphics)? How come I get an HDMI output from my MB if I select the PEG setting (no other PCIe card installed). What settings are changed in windows after booting that prevent me from rebooting again?
Please help.
