Ryzen 5 2400g Or the 1500x

I already have a dedicate gpi which is a 780 ti. Would the intergrated on 2400g interfere with a 780 ti?. Do they eat ram etc ( pros and cons 1500x vs 2400g)

There are some difference. The main one being the L3 cache. The 1500x has 16mb, the 2400 only 4mb. This helps gaming. And despite the 2400 having slightly higher clocks, is the reason why the 1500x still beats it for gaming. Check here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7VAlf1ko5jU

Admittedly that's with a high end GPU, but still you can clearly see the benefits of the 1500x, the extra L3.

no point in getting 2400G if you have a GPU, it won't interfere but it's a waste, for the cost of a 2400g you can actually get a Ryzen 1600 which is what I would upgrade too.

Why would you want the 2200g when you have a discrete GPU? The 780ti will beat the 2200G's Vegas graphics. The 1500x is way more expensive than the 2200G. Take a look at the 1200 or 1300x. They are about the same price as the 2200G and will give great performance. The 2400G uses system memory to work while the 780ti is self contained.

Once you put in the 780ti, the iGPU of 2400g will get deactivated and will not be utilized till the card is there. It does not eat any RAM when it is deactivated as that function remains dormant.
\The good thing is, if your card ever plays up and stops functioning, you can still boot the PC with the 2400g and get pretty good graphics even without a dedicated card.
