Hello I was thinking about upgrading my old AMD phenom II x6 to a ryzen 5 2600, however before I even added it back to the cart I noticed a big problem with the ryzen 5 2600.. people all over the internet are going bat sh*t because they have to update their bios.
What motherboard can I get without having to mess with the bios, like an activated apu or whatever the CPUs requirements are?
I don't really want to spend more than 120$ on a motherboard, but I also don't want to spend money buying an extra CPU to update the bios.
I was looking Into a motherboard it's the gigabyte 470x for like 110$
If I by a ryzen 5 2600 would this CPU be ready to use or would you still have to update the bios?
Any tips and help is appreciated, thank you
