[SOLVED] Ryzen 5 2600 or 3600

I am planning to upgrade my R3 1300x to a 6 core cpu. Should I get R5 2600 or 3600? I am currently using A320 motherboard.

It does look like the 2600 is running about 150 on eBay. If you can get a new 3600 for 200., and if the a320 board will accept it, the 3600 is the way to go IMO, unless you just get a deal.

If your mainboard supports the 3600, that's another 18-19% boost in IPC and frame rates I'd not pass up...

The GPU I am currently using is RTX 2060. So I am currently planning to pair it with either 2600 or 3600.

Ok. The 3600 is last years chip already, the 2600 is 2 years old I think, going on 3. If the prices where you shop are close, get the 3600 if you can afford it. But if you get a deal on the 2600, it should do ok as well.

3600's are a such a solid upgrade from them the only good reason to go with a 2600 is you can get one for free (as a hand-me-down maybe) or next to nothing.

While it's only obvious that some will be better, most any AM4 board compatible with 1300X can also work with either of these CPU's. Just be sure to update BIOS so they work.
