[SOLVED] Ryzen 5 2600 Over Heating

Hi, I have a ryzen 5 2600 and it is runnign around 106 Degrees without running any games, just idle. I am using the defualt cooler as of now I ordered one. I just need to know how to keep the temp down.

Hey so I purchased the ryzen 5 2600 and its running at about 106 Degrees at default without playing any games.
I am using the stock fan until thursday when my new one comes in.
I would like to know how to keep it down as much as possible.

At this point your CPU should be dead
The CPU shouldn't be this hot are you sure you are not overclocking?

he probably forgot to take off the plastic cover on the cooler or something, and the cpu is probably not gonna die with 106 degrees, i once forgot to change the thermal paste and it was running at like 105 while throtelling

True but 106 degrees is not good for your CPU
My CPUs maximum temp is 95 Degrees Celcius

@Fuelx This is not proper at all.

Is it second hand or new?
Did you just install it or it's been a while it has been running with such temperature?
What's the stock cooler's speed under load?

Are we talking Celsius or Fahrenheit here. 106F = 41.11C
