Hello!
I just bought Ryzen 5 2600. I read that some people have stuttering problems with this cpu in games. So I wanted to ask if stuttering problem exsists and is it a good cpu for gaming?

My pc specs:
  1. MSI B450 Tomahawk Max
  2. Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro DDR4 2x8GB 3200 MHz
  3. Gygabyte GTX 1660 ti
  4. Samsung 860 EVO

Welcome to toms hardware!

So the Ryzen 5 2600 is probably the best bang-for-your-buck cpu. Stuttering is usually caused by bad drivers or slow ram for me. I have 3200mhz ram and ryzen 5 2600 however I had stuttering in a few games as well. I resolved this by going into BIOS and setting max DRAM from 2133mhz to 3200mhz as ryzen is very RAM sided.

Edit: Motherboard models usually tend to have a max RAM...

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

You forgot to mention the make and model of your PSU. If you're working with a brand new build, you should be good to go although the mention of in-game stuttering can be caused by a number of things.

Bad GPU drivers or a badly coded game engine can be a number of reasons.

There's nothing peculiar with that CPU, everything that applies to it applies for any CPU in that range.

Stuttering is not only based on the CPU. A number of other factors can cause stuttering. I have a 2600 paired with a gtx 1070 and I have no stuttering.

I have never used AMD cpu before. I was always using Intel. I had i5 3570K before, but it was slowly getting old and was bottlenecking my gpu in many games. I read that Ryzen is goog cpu and this model was only 120 euro, so I bought it. Thanks for answers!
