Hello everyone. Now that the 3rd gen of ryzen cpus launched, the prices of the previous gen have dropped drastically and I think it's a good time to buy a 2600x or a 2700. The problem is that I live in Greece and the 2600x is about 150€ while the 2700 is about 200€. I have watched benchmarks and the difference between the two CPUs is 4-5 fps. I don't know if the 2700 worths the 50€ more than the 2600x. I will use my pc only for gaming and maybe a bit of recording but nothing too special. I personally think the 2600x is the better cpu for me but I wanna hear some experts' opinions. My gpu is the gtx 1070 btw and I'm gaming at 1080p 60hz. Thanks in advance.

yeah, the 2600x is around 5% faster, but the 2700 has 2 more cores thus 4 more threads so it is easier for multicore rendering but in the other hand 2600x has more l3 cache. i recommend 2600x, in some cases its faster. it also has 3.6GHz while the 2700 only 3.2, but even if 2700 is faster in multicore rendering, it's hell not worth the 60$ more. you could upgrade your ram or something with that 60$
