My Current setup is i5 3570k with RX 580 i was planning on upgrading my CPU

Which is the better choice?

Here are the prices in my country:
Ryzen 5 2600 with gigabyte b450 = 205usd
Ryzen 5 2600x with gigabyte b450 = 230usd
Ryzen 5 3500x with aorus b450 = 270usd

Mostly for gaming/

I got a budget for 230usd does the extra 40dollars worth it for ryzen 3500x?

Are you actually in the US?


The 3500X is a Chinese OEM exclusive CPU that is only 6 core 6 thread. If you can get a Ryzen 3600.

The 3500x is actually available here at retail stores
while the Ryzen 3600 with b450 aorus elite is at 308usd

Budget is quite limited cause i still have to buy new ram DDR4

If you plan on just gaming then the 3500X probably will be better due to the stronger single core performance. However more and more modern games are taking advantage of multi thread technology and if you want to stream or edit videos the 2600 might be a better choice.
